Structural Integration & Framing Services
Ensuring What’s Beneath the Surface is Built to Last
At Karga Construction, we don’t just install roofing or siding—we assess the structure beneath to make sure everything is sound, secure, and up to code. When you're replacing your roof or siding, it’s critical to inspect the underlying framing, including trusses, rafters, walls, fascia boards, tails, and roof decking.
Our team performs a full structural assessment to ensure your home or commercial property has a “nailable surface”—a secure base for roofing or siding materials. We follow Ohio code, which requires corrosion-resistant fasteners (minimum 12-gauge with a 3/8” head) that penetrate at least ¾” into the sheathing.
Common Issues We Catch
Thin 3/8” plywood that’s prone to moisture damage, warping, or delamination
Uneven trusses or rafters that cause dips or soft spots in the deck
Rotted or weakened decking near gutters and eaves
Hidden damage beneath multiple layers of shingles or steep-pitched roofs
Before we begin any roofing or siding job, we walk the roof to feel for soft spots, check the decking under the first rows of shingles, and document everything with photos. We provide a free estimate that includes different scenarios, ranging from replacing a few sheets of plywood to a full roof deck replacement, so you know exactly what to expect. We also charge around 50% less for plywood replacement than most companies, helping you stay within budget.
House Framing & Fire Restoration
Rebuilding with Integrity, Safety, and Speed
Karga Construction has extensive experience rebuilding homes, apartments, and commercial buildings after fire or water damage. We’ve worked with homeowners, insurance companies, and general contractors to restore properties and bring families back home safely and efficiently.
Our Fire Damage Process:
Secure the Property – Protect valuables and prevent unauthorized access.
Demolition & Debris Removal – Tear down the damaged structure (room, garage, wall, etc.) and clear the site.
Weatherproofing – Shield your home from rain, snow, and wind.
Framing & Reconstruction – Rebuild the structure to meet current Ohio building codes.
Older homes often don’t meet today’s framing standards, so every rebuild is inspected by licensed engineers and city inspectors. We coordinate directly with your insurance company to ensure any hidden damage, especially water damage from firefighting efforts, is accounted for.
